Facebook is looking for a Business Analyst to join the Global Shared Services- Insights team, a team that provides scaled insights to our clients globally. The goal of the team is to partner with our sales, marketing science, product & marketing teams and help our advertisers understand the value of advertising with Facebook and Instagram through pre/post-sales reporting solutions, measurement studies and data analytics. In this role, you will have a great opportunity to build partnerships, provide business insights, and deliver on strategic initiatives for our advertisers. This position is located in our Hyderabad office.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth custom market research studies and advertising effectiveness studies for advertisers, leveraging internal survey and data analysis tools
  • Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis, data visualization and data mining to see beyond numbers and drive actionable insights espousing the effectiveness of Facebook advertising
  • Understand digital media Industry trends, and develop in-depth analyses and vertical-based reporting solutions that provide actionable insights to advertisers and drive growth of Facebook ad products
  • Work on interesting predictive analytics problems by surfacing right data, investigating abnormal trends and providing actionable recommendations to quantify the impact of ads clients buy from Facebook
  • Conceptualize and build dashboards to surface powerful data backed insights
  • Design professional external facing client presentations that bring out insights and present complex data in a consumable format for various audiences like the senior leadership, high profile clients and internal teams
  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams globally, assimilating requirements, driving results in the form of advertiser insights and building strategic partnerships
  • Think and work independently, demonstrate creativity and deliver results

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in an analytical field - e.g. Marketing, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics etc.
  • Passion for and background in consumer internet and social media is strongly preferred
  • 6+ years experience, with 2+ years of work experience in data analytics
  • Proficiency in SQL and Excel
  • Fundamentally strong in data analytics and statistics. Working knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Micro Strategy etc.
  • Proven experience leading data driven projects from definition through interpretation and execution
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience solving ambiguous problems using data and providing practical business insights
  • Entrepreneurial and Fast learner
  • achieve power-user status on multiple tools quickly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including strong presentation skills
  • Basic understanding of Media Mix Modeling, Panel Studies is ideal
  • Prior experience in statistical programming is a plus
  • Proficiency using statistical tools such as R, SAS, SPSS etc. is plus
  • Experience in PHP, HTML/CSS/XML/JavaScript, PYTHON, VB and general programming skills is a plus
